It’s awards season in the entertainment industry and Carolina Handling is celebrating with several awards of its own.
Our accolades are especially meaningful because they’ve come from industry peers, vendors, customers and community partners. They recognize achievements in sales, market share, recruiting and community involvement – elements that, we believe, make Carolina Handling an employer of choice.
These awards reflect the quality of our offerings, but most importantly, the commitment of our associates and the elite way in which they take care of each other, our customers and the communities where we live and work.
2024 MHEDA MVP
We started the year being named a 2024 Most Valuable Partner by the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) for outstanding achievements in 2023.
The MVP Award is a prestigious one within the material handling industry, with fewer than 10 percent of MHEDA's 600 member organizations earning the distinction. Carolina Handling’s continued recognition as an MVP underscores a dedication to excellence, professionalism and responsible stewardship in material handling and the business world, overall.
“This acknowledgment not only elevates Carolina Handling’s reputation among its peers but also instills confidence in its customers and community members, showcasing it as a leader in the material handling world,” said Van Clarkson, President of Fairchild Equipment and 2024 MHEDA Chairman.
2024 Raymond Dealer of Distinction
For the 33rd year in a row, Carolina Handling was named a Dealer of Distinction (DOD) by The Raymond Corporation. The DOD award is given annually to the top performers among Raymond Solutions and Support Centers throughout North America. Carolina Handling, the exclusive Raymond Solutions and Support Center for the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama and Florida’s Central time zone territory, is one of only seven Raymond dealers to receive the designation for 2024.
“Carolina Handling’s DOD performance year after year is an endorsement of the elite level of service and support that we provide our customers,” said Carolina Handling President & CEO Brent Hillabrand. “The top scores consistently received in so many different areas of our business are a testament to our associates and the teamwork that allows us to achieve a high level of success, even as the material handling industry continues to evolve.”
CTE Innovation Center Business Partner of the Year
CTE Innovation Center in Greenville, South Carolina, named Carolina Handling its Small Business Partner of the Year during the school's first ever Work-Based Learning Partner of the Year Awards presented in April.
Carolina Handling promotes careers in material handling by hosting student workplace tours, participating in career fairs and sponsoring CTE’s VEX Robotics team. And two CTE students presently are serving as interns at our Equipment Distribution Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
Kautex 2023 Health & Safety Award
In April, Carolina Handling received the 2023 Health & Safety Award for Excellence from Kautex, A Textron Company, a Tier One automotive supplier with more than 30 manufacturing facilities in 13 countries.
The award was received for an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) project at the company’s facility in Lavonia, Georgia, and recognizes Carolina Handling as a top-performing supplier. The courier implementation was one of the smoothest among any of Kautex Textron’s equipment distributors worldwide, according to the company, which operates AGVs at most of its facilities around the globe.
Modula 2023 Top Performer of the Year
In May, Carolina Handling was named the 2023 Top Performer of the Year by Modula, Inc., a leading manufacturer of vertical lift modules and automated storage solutions.
An authorized Modula dealer since 2021, Carolina Handling sells, installs and services Modula’s advanced vertical storage and retrieval systems designed to reduce storage space and boost productivity in order picking. Built on the “parts to picker” principle, the automated system has been proven to dramatically increase accuracy, reduce storage space and enhance worker safety and job satisfaction.
“As Carolina Handling continues its evolution from a forklift-only company to a provider of end-to-end integrated warehouse solutions, products like Modula enhance our broad portfolio of equipment and technologies to help companies achieve greater speed, safety, accuracy and efficiency in their operations,” said Carolina Handling Chief Operating Officer Joe Perkins. “In addition to sales and implementation, we continue to add Modula Certified Technicians to provide the same elite level of aftermarket support for automation solutions that we’re known for on the forklift side of material handling.”
