Carolina Handling brings home the hardware

At Carolina Handling, we take pride in being elite. Elite in product offerings. Elite in service to each other, our customers and our community. Elite in our role as a consultative partner who delivers integrated solutions tailored to the specific needs of individual customers.

We measure success in a variety of ways: associate and customer retention, market share, gross profit, response times, the ability to attract top talent and the recognition received from our industry, our partners and others who bestow awards for outstanding achievement.

This year, Carolina Handling has been recognized for everything from sales and market share to the production of a children’s pop-up book, to our commitment to community.

These awards are a validation of our experience and expertise, a celebration of our skills in the world of material handling and a testament to our contributions to the communities where we work and live.

Raymond Dealer of Distinction

For the 34th consecutive year, Carolina Handling has been named a Dealer of Distinction (DOD) by The Raymond Corporation, a global provider of best-in-class material handling equipment and intelligent intralogistics solutions.

Dealer of Distinction recognizes the top performers among Raymond Solutions and Support Centers throughout North America. In 2024, there were seven DOD winners.

The exclusive Raymond Solutions and Support Center for the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama and Florida’s Central time zone, Carolina Handling also received two Diamond Elite awards for attaining the highest market share among all Raymond dealers for Class I forklifts at 30.1 percent and highest market share for combined Class I–III forklifts at 34.7 percent.

The DOD award is based on points scored in categories covering virtually all areas of the business, including sales, service, parts, rentals, leasing, power and intralogistics solutions. The award signifies a company’s strength in the marketplace and operational excellence that drives growth and continuous improvement.

2025 MHEDA MVP

For the fifth consecutive year, Carolina Handling has won the prestigious Most Valuable Partner Award from the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) for its outstanding achievements in 2024.

A coveted accolade within the industry, fewer than 10 percent of MHEDA's 600 members earn the annual distinction.

Carolina Handling’s continued recognition as a MHEDA MVP underscores a commitment to excellence, professionalism and responsible stewardship in the business world. To qualify for the annual award, companies must provide evidence of their commitment to their customers, suppliers and associates, and satisfy criteria in the areas of industry advocacy, customer service, safety, business networking, continuing education and best business practices.

Modula 2024 Top Performer

For the second year in a row, Carolina Handling has been named a top performer by Modula Inc., a leading manufacturer of vertical lift modules and automated storage and retrieval solutions, scoring a second-place finish in overall sales of Modula units during 2024.

Carolina Handling also received a Gold Level certificate for Modula marketing efforts in 2024 that included advertising and email campaigns, merchandising, SEO and social media.

An authorized Modula dealer since 2021, Carolina Handling sells, installs and services Modula’s advanced vertical storage and retrieval systems designed to reduce storage space and boost productivity in order picking. The automated system dramatically increases pick accuracy, reduces storage space and enhances worker safety and job satisfaction.

American Business Awards

Speaking of marketing, Carolina Handling was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® award in the Company Publication category for Santa's One Stop Integration Shop, a Carolina Handling Pop-Up Book, and a Silver Stevie® in the category Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year at Organizations with Up to 2,500 Employees for its 58 for 58 Motorized Pallet Jack Giveaway.

The premier business awards program in the United States, the American Business Awards received more than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry in a wide range of categories.

Gold Stevie winner, Santa's One Stop Integration Shop, was written by Carolina Handling’s Marketing department and illustrated by Jason Craft. The book follows the implementation of an integrated distribution warehouse and features intricate pop-up designs of flow racking, a very narrow aisle wire guidance orderpicker, a spiral vertical conveyor and vertical lift modules.

Silver Stevie winner, the 58 for 58 Motorized Pallet Jack Giveaway, was held in celebration of Carolina Handling’s 58 years in business in 2024 and was launched as part of a yearlong philanthropic campaign called “Handling Hunger Together.” The company awarded 58 Raymond motorized pallet jacks to hunger relief organizations throughout the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama on a first-requested basis. Recipients combined to serve 11.2 million individuals annually, distributing more than 290 million pounds of food.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina Partnership Award

The 58 for 58 Motorized Pallet Jack Giveaway also was recognized by one of its recipients, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which honored Carolina Handling with its 2025 New Partner Award.
